The
Auto-Tumbler is designed utilizing a single or multiple
chambers discharging the sterilized waste to a shredder
system, compactor and/or roll-off container, etc.. The capacities,
configurations and options are site specific and unlimited.
The Auto-Tumbler Series offers several options for the loading
of infectious waste into the chamber(s) this may be accomplished
via cart tippers, mechanical loaders or manually. Flexible
loading options provide the hospital the capability of having
an infectious waste treatment system which virtually eliminates
operator handling of infectious waste. The Auto-Tumbler
Series is designed for one person operation and requires
the least amount of operator handling of any treatment system
available.
Additional
safeguards are incorporated into the design of this system
to ensure complete sterilization of the waste:
- The
San-I-Pak is programmed
to only discharge the waste from the sterilization chamber
once complete vacuum, pressure, time duration and temperature
parameters have been achieved.

Sterilization parameters are programmed into the unit's
computer and cannot be changed by the operator.
