LOADING OPTIONS
San-I-Pak's sterilizers offer
several options for loading the infectious waste into a three position
chamber; this can be accomplished via stationary or mobile cart
dumpers, conveyor belts, screw augers or manually. This protects
the facility's personnel by providing an infectious waste treatment
system that virtually eliminates operator handling of infectious
waste. San-I-Pak specializes in "No
Touch Automation" and we use our experience in manufacturing
and design to eliminate as many potential hazards to operators as
possible. In addition to eliminating contact with untreated biohazardous
waste we have also minimized any risk of a potential injury caused
by the treatment system.

ERGONOMICS
OF LOADING & UNLOADING TREATMENT SYSTEMS
Many biomedical waste sterilizer systems have been designed identical
to instrument sterilizers. However, it is important to realize
that the proper treatment of medical instruments is much easier
than treating waste due to the porous nature of the various materials,
which comprise bio medical waste. The design of most sterilizers
does not accommodate "hands-free" or "no touch"
un-loading of this very hot material, 100oC+. The use of standard
loading/un-loading trays and carts exposes the operators to serious
injuries and burns. The uniquely patented San-I-Pak
design of articulating sterilizers completely eliminates such
risk by automatically dumping the treated waste into a discharge
cart.

San-I-Pak specializes in "No
Touch Automation" and we use our experience in manufacturing

"No-Touch" automatic loading systems, contact

All San-I-Pak equipment is capable
of accepting waste loads using automated cart dumpers with the
appropriate sized cart for each size chamber.

systems, allowing for complete "No Touch" handling from
waste collection points to final treatment and disposal using
portable carts. "No Touch" loading eliminates the hazards
associated with handling untreated biohazardous waste, thus reducing
injuries related to waste handling at the facility.
