QUALITY
ASSURANCE PROGRAM:
Highly developed manufacturing techniques have insured the quality
and reliability of each machine is the finest in the industry.
15% of manufacturing personnel income is derived form a bonus
program rewarding Zero manufacturing defects and attendance. San-I-Pak
is an ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) code facility.
The president and VP serve on the UL, Medical Waste Equipment
and Medical Waste Management Committees.
SAN-I-PAK
STERILIZER AND/OR COMPACTOR LIMITED WARRANTY:
SAN-I-PAK PACIFIC, INC., a California corporation, (hereinafter
SAN-I-PAK) warrants, subject to the terms of this Limited Warranty,
that at the time of shipment to the original Purchaser, all Equipment
manufactured by SAN-I-PAK is free from defects in title, material
and workmanship and that such Equipment will perform in accordance
with published specifications or performance standards. SAN-I-PAK
neither assumes, nor authorizes any other person to assume for
SAN-I-PAK, any other obligation or liability in connection with
this sale or distribution of any SAN-I-PAK Equipment.
THIS WARRANTY
EXCLUDES ANY OBLIGATION FOR LOSS OF PRODUCT, LOSS OF USE, DOWN
TIME, OR ANY OTHER INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. THIS IS
THE ONLY WARRANTY APPLICABLE TO EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURED BY SAN-I-PAK
AND IS IN LIEU OF ANY AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED,
INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS.
SAN-I-PAK
shall, at its option, either repair or replace the Equipment covered
pursuant to this Warranty during the warranty period. Such repair
or replacement is the exclusive remedy under this Warranty.
Identifiable
parts, components or accessories that have been manufactured by
others and installed in, or affixed to, SAN-I-PAK Equipment (including
but not limited to pressure regulators, solenoid valves, steam
generators, shredders, cart dumpers and accessory items) are not
included in this Warranty and bear only the express warranty of
the manufacturer of the part, component, or accessory.
SAN-I-PAK
does not warranty shredders. However, if a part fails early in
service, SAN-I-PAK will review the failure and, at its sole discretion,
may make a repair adjustment determination.
SAN-I-PAK
does not warrant capacities or throughput rates of its Equipment.
SAN-I-PAK
reserves the right to make certain changes in design, or changes
or improvements to SAN-I-PAK Equipment at any time without any
obligation to make changes or improvements to equipment previously
manufactured.
DURATION
OF WARRANTY:
SAN-I-PAK warrants all SAN-I-PAK Equipment against defects in
material and workmanship under normal use and service, and provided
installation is performed according to pre-installation specifications
furnished by SAN-I-PAK, for a period of Thirteen (13) months from
originally scheduled shipping date or Twelve (12) months from
delivery, whichever occurs first. This Warranty extends exclusively
to the original Purchaser. San-I-Pak will not warranty the machine
for use until a modem line is provided and connected.
SAN-I-PAK
Equipment may be repaired or replaced any number of times under
this Warranty, but such repairs or replacements shall not affect
the duration of the original Warranty.
PURCHASER
RESPONSIBILITIES:
It is the responsibility of the Purchaser to install the SAN-I-PAK
Sterilizer and/or Compactor unit and container in conformance
with ANSI Z245.1-1984 as well as any and all applicable codes
and regulations. IMPORTANT - Furnished with each Sterilizer and/or
Compactor unit is an Owner's Manual (Installation, Operation and
Service instructions), as well as electrical schematics for that
unit. The manual should be retained for future reference and use.
Purchaser
must train operators in the safe and proper use of the Sterilizer
and/or Compactor system.
In the
event of failure of any SAN-I-PAK Equipment, Purchaser must immediately
contact SAN-I-PAK with a description of the problem.
At the
option of SAN-I-PAK, Purchaser shall be responsible for performing
small warranty repairs or replacements that SAN-I-PAK deems are
within the capabilities of Purchaser. For accomplishing small
warranty repairs SAN-I-PAK will compensate the party providing
these repairs at an agreed upon hourly rate.
Labor rates
for warranty repair will be charged to the purchaser at the rate
of 50% of the areas standard factory labor rates .
A preventative
maintenance check-off sheet is provided in the Owner's Manual.
Copies of this sheet must be completed monthly, maintained on
file and be available for review by SAN-I-PAK as proof of proper
maintenance unless Purchaser has a Factory Service and/or Maintenance
Contract in effect.
